The Big Trouble’s approach to university residencies empowers music students to become part of our band, both on stage and behind the scenes.

First, we want students to rehearse and perform with us on stage, essentially becoming a member of The Big Trouble for the scope of our residency.

Second, we want students to gain real world music business experience through the process. Specifically, we want to give students the opportunity to help with booking, marketing and organizing our concert and rehearsals. These basic skills are often times overlooked by classical music curriculums, and ones that are integral to creating a career in music. We believe this unique approach to residencies will offer high level musical and logistical enrichment for students, which we believe will inform their musical pursuits moving forward.
